Patrizia and Joseph Casagrande prepare authentic Italian dishes using the best local ingredients found, together with quintessential imported Italian products they personally select. This method is natural to the Italian culture of preparing food. Although local ingredients are important, there are many items which are not available locally that enhance the flavors of those local products. It is said in Italian, “si sposa bene” – it blends well or marries well. It is essential that the ingredients are genuine, authentic and prepared properly.
Patrizia and Joseph prepare real Italian food: traditional, healthy, nutritious and flavorful.
They began their local food business in Italy with their uncle, Zio Peppo, ten years ago during the economic crisis selling fresh water fish they caught daily from Lago Monate, Lago,Maggiore, and other nearby alpine lakes north of Milano, Italy. The fresh fishes and prepared fish dishes were highly cherished and served in the local osterie and trattorie around the lakes.
Four years ago while visiting relatives, a friend suggested they participate in a local market providing their authentic Italian foods and knowledge of Italian food, wines and culture.
